sustainability

The most sustainable product is the one we never made.

Joplus makes three products. The industry average for a skincare routine is eleven. Everything on this page follows from that one decision.

Title

WHY LESS IS THE STRATEGY

Nothing we buy back later cancels out what we made in the first place.

Title

01

We start by not making it

Every jar has a footprint before it ships: ingredients grown, water heated, glass fired, a box printed. The only reliable way to lower that number is to make fewer things. Three products, no seasonal launches, no limited editions.

Title

02

We formulate to be used up

A product that sits unfinished on a shelf is waste that already happened. We build routines around what people actually finish, and we would rather sell you one item than three.

Title

03

We fund repair for the rest

What we can't design away, we pay to address: trees planted through GoodAPI, carbon removal funded through Shopify Planet. We treat this as a contribution, not as a cancellation.

Title

WHAT WE FUND

Two programmes, both running on every order automatically.

GOOD API

One tree per order, planted in restoration sites and monitored by veritree*.

PLANET

Estimates the emissions of each delivery and buys removal from vetted suppliers on our behalf.

*Veritree verifies the planting behind GoodAPI: site, species and survival monitoring, GPS-tagged.

where we're not there yet

three things we haven't solved.

Title

01

Pumps and caps

Our bottles are glass; the dispensing parts are still plastic. Pumps that work with our textures and don't contaminate the glass stream don't exist yet at our volume.

Title

02

product boxes

White paper printed with a laminate finish that complicates recycling.

Next product batches drops it for a natural matte paper without lamination.

Title

03

Refills and returns

Shipping empty glass back to us would likely emit more than it saves at our scale. Local refill is the honest answer, and we don't have the footprint for it yet.
